What’s your role at Nelson Policies at Lloyd’s – Commercial Underwriter

How did you get started in the insurance industry? – My first job straight after my A-Levels was as a Customer Service advisor in a private car insurance call centre – I had originally intended to save up some money before going to University. After seeing how many different opportunities there were in the industry, I decided against Uni and instead worked in a few different roles within the company, including Complaints Handling and Accounts, before moving into Commercial Underwriting

What do you hope brokers and clients see when they deal with Nelson Policies? A friendly, helpful team who are flexible and consider each risk on its merits.

What one thing would people be surprised to know about you? During the pandemic when everyone was housebound, I learned how to DJ!

What do you love about working at Nelson Policies? The team – everyone is so friendly and supportive of each other.
