Event season is approaching highlighting the importance of event insurance
The events industry is booming in the United Kingdom with events of all types and sizes being held in virtually every city, town and village up and down the country.
This huge industry is a worth a staggering £42.3bn and supports an incredible 570,000 full-time jobs. And that’s just for starters! A colossal 35% of Britain’s visitor economy is accounted for by events and the top ten UK event agencies turnover more than £3.5bn.
Britain’s year-round, nationwide events are held at a whole host of venues with more than 7,000 events taking place outdoors each year.
Charity events are also on the rise with 56% of charitable organisations having seen their event fundraising income rise in recent years.
Music festivals and concerts are also booming, with British music events attended by around 27.7 bn people every year.
